Chevere!! The word most pronounced in our second working day!

What means chevere? as our popular Ecuadorian Spanish dictionary  chevere means great, cool, cute, pretty, well on our second day of work chevere has been the most mentioned word by people who have walked around our workspace and God!!! there have been many I would say that too much the point of causing  hassle and deconcentration!

I must admit it has been inevitable since the restaurant was open for lunch, has not been easy to stay in different activities at the same time, attending a restaurant, painting, cooking, engage in worpress, take pictures to share (this also has its hard side).

Lisa being a responsible blogger!!!!

Thursday June 6 (10:00 am):
Lisa begins to work by herself, I take care of my daily work cooking and getting ready the dining area for lunch time of course I miss the design of the following tables, Lisa was constantly stalked by clients who were approached her with questions or just to admire his art. at 14:00 pm I’m ready to join Lisa, I close one of the doors of the restaurant and leave the other open (big mistake) I found a great surprise! The following table is already designed.

iguana inspired by jama!!!

Lisa suggests that I take care to add color to this design, as she continues with the next table.

work in glass has its advantages!

As we go on, we hear more and more chevere. let’s add color!!!

ImagenMy teacher is proud of my work, I think I just found a new hobby!

sixth table: tick (iguana)

ImagenGreen apparently was the color of the moment! What honor to have a teacher like her, do not think?

seventh table: tick (more leaves)

ImagenI get a call: It was my mom warning that my dad probably come to jama …… “Mommy please convince him not to come” This call demand us to go more quickly as soon the two tables were ready Lisa is responsible for an extra detail on the wall and we thought about one of my dad’s favorite activities: Chess, by the way he always plays in the restaurant so Why not to be nice with Him? I will avoid rebuke by madness I’m doing

My sister Vania lost most of it the fun, social occupations her keep her from joining us. the clock strikes 11:00 p.m. Lisa leaves. I decided to continue a little more.
I dive into the calm night and the concern for what my dad will say and then my sister interrupted my trip opening the door to enter. We get distracted talking and painting a bit more suddenly we heard the echo of a rooster crowing …….. What time is it? 3:10 a.m. Vania we should sleep!
Ending time: Friday, June 7th (3:10 am)

a little more

Oh my goodness! It’s more exciting than those TV shows where the owners leave their home and then people come in and redecorate the house as a surprise for them.

    • hey!
i am home on the river, and internet is so slow that i’ve just reached this newest post. i chuckled. a lot!
i love your comment, as will silvana, who is surely elbow deep in cooking, washing dishes, greeting people, and now playing gallery guide who answers the public’s questions about the visual changes in the restaurant!

thanks silvana, the week painting with you and vania was so much fun, and you are doing a great job in sharing the story!

With a smirk from my perch at the riverhouse, I bask in the memories of working with Silvana and Vania this past week. Not only is Silvana a quick understudy in creating art, but she is also a great writer, who entertains us with posts about the latest art project!
Chevere! Buen Trabajo! Good work, Silvana! You are a master of many trades, and you are intelligent and funny as well!
